To celebrate the publication of The Outside Story, Vol. 2, Northern Woodlands is offering
a limited raffle for the book’s cover painting. Proceeds will support this magazine, and
our nonprofit’s other work to promote stewardship.
Adelaide Tyrol has masterfully illustrated The Outside Story syndicated column and
Northern Woodlands magazine articles for decades. This river scene of swallows winging over an autumn field is painted in acrylic on a wood panel and measures 43” wide
by 24” high and 1” deep. It’s ready to hang, unframed with its painted edges. Photos
don’t do it justice. It glows.
Raffle tickets are $20. We’ll announce the winner on February 14. A great gift paired
with a copy of The Outside Story book!
To buy raffle tickets and the book, please go to our website ( www.northernwoodlands.org);
or you can call our office (802-439-6292) or send a check. Checks should be separate from
donations, and should have “Raffle” written in the memo line. They can be mailed to this
address: Northern Woodlands, POB 471, Corinth, VT 05039.
A random moment, fully recognized, can embrace the
spirit and lead us to a deeper understanding of life.
For me, the source is contained in the natural world;
the process of painting is an attempt to communicate
with and understand its well-spring. ADELAIDE T YROL
